Centerpieces, tall or short?

Like the picture to the left many wonder weather their centerpiece should be short or tall? If you are not making your choice simply based on cost most will want a tall commanding centerpiece, with a large arrangement of flowers on top. An easy way to remember is, if the ceiling in the room where you are holding your event is low, so should your centerpiece. It will only make the room appear smaller and the ceiling lower, should you choose to display a tall centerpiece. Same rule applies for a tall ceiling, and a tall centerpiece. No matter the height of the ceiling I strongly recommend when you meet with your florist or decorator that you give this information to them, so they can provide you with samples that will work well in the room or even better have them meet you at the venue for a personal walk through.

Great advice. I also advise brides to create a wow factor by alternating tall and short centerpieces - so guests eyes dance around the room. It's very dramatic.
